Court Barton, Plot 2
Due for handover at the begining of December. Each plot is fairly bespoke and each have had there own unique detailing requirements. One of , but not the only feature of this house is the 3m long one piece glass balustrade shown below. In this case the steel fixing plates have been concealed instead of expressed. The Main two storey screen shown in the image above is a collapsable wall system and can open along it’s entire length on to the garden area.
Work continues on the Royston Lifelong learning centre near Barnsley. Week 10 and the steel work is progressing on site. Shown are the front two entrance bays.
A First! site visit for both Ryan Meadows and Adil Jeraal. Ryan has recently completed his year out and is now back at university three days a week studying hard to be become an Architect. Adil has joined us for a weeks work experiance from college. He is considering becoming an Architect and I don’t believe we’ve put him off yet.

These fully functional ‘dummy’ chimneys are being used on Court Barton, Clifford. The Client and Contractor wanted to avoid building free stand masonry stacks to carry chimneys in the timber frame houses. One of the solutions put forward and accepted was the combination of offsite pre-manufactured chimneys and a Class 1 Pujoulat flue. The chimney fabricator collects facing material samples from site, then cuts slips and fixes these to the main GRP body. These are then lifted into place and dressed with leadwork to hide the join.
Wall protection needn’t be boring… be inspired by the hungry caterpiller!
